Our 7 Days Amboseli, Lake Nakuru & Masai Mara Kenya Safari takes you on a memorable wildlife adventure in the largest, most famous parks. Footer which is the the oldest and the second in popularity after the legendary Masai Mara Game Reserve, the park not only offers great game viewing but is also the place to go for the best views of iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa most tallest mountain. Amboseli National Park is situated in Loitoktok District, Rift Valley Province of Kenya. Amboseli National Park ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya -Tanzania border, an area of low scrubby vegetation and open grassy plains, all of which makes for easy game viewing. It is the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants, which are for sure a breath-taking sight to behold, whereas various African lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other species can also be spotted, offering spectacular photographic experiences.

Lake Nakuru National Park, found in the foot of the great rift valley has an elevation of 1754 meters above sea level, is home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lake-shores in to a magnificent pink stretch. This is the only park you are asured of seeing the rhinos in black and white and the Rothschild Giraffe.

Masai Mara Game Reserve which is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Masai mara is the the wonder of the world.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning drive to Amboseli national park which is less than 5 Hrs drive and is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Arrive with more game drive proceeding to your Camp / Lodge for check in, time for lunch , Check in at Camp / Lodge have lunch and a short rest. Afternoon game drive in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Later Dinner and overnight at Camp / Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Amboseli National Park

Early breakfast at the camp or lodge. After breakfast embark on a full-day game drive at Amboseli National park with packed lunch in the car. Amboseli National park is dominated by the large herds of African elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and flamingoes at Lake Amboseli which is slowly forming in the park. Predators such as the cat family are not a guarantee to be spotted in this park such as lions and cheetahs. And if you spot them it will only be for a short while then vanish for some time. All this with Mount Kilimanjaro snow caps in the background. Thereafter return back to lodge / camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park

You will have an early morning game drive, return to the camp / lodge for breakfast before checking out and departing for Lake Nakuru National Park which is located in the Great Rift Valley, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch go for an exciting game drive until 6.30 in the evening. The bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White and Black Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe. Dinner and overnight at your Camp / Lodge.

Day 4: AFull Day Lake Nakuru National Park

On this day you will have an early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park and return to the Camp / Lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will take a further drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before lunch. The afternoon is at leisure, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at your Camp / Lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Early morning breakfast leave Lake Nakuru with a short game drive with packed lunch and proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve where you will pass through Narok town which is famous Masai town proceeding to Masai Mara park. You will arrive in time for lunch Check in Camp / Lodge and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five plus other animals. Dinner and overnight at Camp / Lodge.

Day 6: Full Day Masai Mara Game Reserve

Early morning game drive and return to camp for breakfast. After breakfast Full day in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents, The Masai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season early July to end of September, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson’s gazelle are regularly seen, leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as are very large Nile crocodiles, who lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. later Meals and overnight at the Camp / Lodge.

Day 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi

Early morning game drive later return to your Camp / Lodge for Breakfast. After breakfast check out with a short game drive en-route off Masai Mara Game Reserve and drive to Nairobi. you will arrive Nairobi in time for lunch. Lunch at carnivore afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.
