Day 1 & 2: Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), Relaxation & City Excursions

Meet and greet service. Flights from different continents arrive at different times. We always recommend at 2 night stay in Nairobi (unless otherwise wished by traveler or travel party) to have a night of relaxation in Nairobi(B&B) after disembarking from a long tiresome flight and especially one that arrives at night, wake up to a breakfast and check out to enjoy selected Nairobi attractions like a visit to Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Kazuri Beads Factory, Karen Blixen Museum and have lunch at one of the best recommended restaurants to suit your taste and preferences.

Day 3 & 4: Nairobi to Amboseli's Kimana Gate (221kms, 4h45m)

This is the heart of our safari. A visit to Amboseli National Park. Departing from our Nairobi hotel at 8.00am or thereabouts, our safari entourage is bound to arrive Amboseli National Park situated at the footsteps of the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro to arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge, recommended for a mid-range safari in this itinerary. You will have an opportunity to view some animals enroute. In the afternoon at 3-4 pm, our Amboseli safari guide leads us to venture into the park for game viewing and sightseeing. 

On the morning of our second day in this Amboseli Safari, we will start with one of the best places to explore - the marshlands. These are feeding grounds for the largest population of elephants in Kenya, while buffalos and hippos wallow in the shallow swamps. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro makes spectacular photography in the morning and at sunset. The 425 different species of birds makes Amboseli National Park a prime birding destination. 

The Amboseli ecosystem is part of our sight-seeing and is typical of the open  avannah grassland habitats of Eastern Africa, the swamps and bogs, riverine habitats offer a haven for the considerable avian population. Our safari exploration in Amboseli stops at lunch time and returns to Amboseli Serena Lodge for lunch and relaxation until 3-4pm for a late afternoon crest drive in this wonderful park.

Day 5: Mt. Kenya

The drive here can be taxing but is made easier by use of the Expressway and road by-passes. Starting out early in Amboseli, lunch is enroute at the outskirts of Nairobi. Arrive in time to relax for the evening at Aberdares Country Club ready for transition to the Ark Lodge in the heart of Aberdares National Park the following morning.

Day 6: Olpejeta Conservancy - 1 hr 40 min (75.3 km)

Olpejeta is only place in Kenya to meet chimpanzees, the only place in the world to see the last world's Northern White rhinos, feed and take unbelievable selfies as you feed and touch a real live black rhino (the blind Baraka The Rhino), explore the park's landscapes and unique wildlife sightings. Day 7 & 8: Samburu National Reserve - 2 hr 46 min (142.0 km)

Safari entourage now heads to the eccentric Samburu National Reserve after breakfast at around 9.00am on a journey of approximately 3 hours.  Game drive enroute to the Ashnil Samburu Camp, our recommended mid-range accommodation on safari to Samburu. After lunch, relax until time for a later afternoon game drive.

The second day in Samburu provides ample time to explore this park for its unique landscapes, flora and fauna.

A journey of about 6 hours with a stop at Thompson's Falls takes us to Lake Nakuru Lodge from Ashnil Samburu Camp. Leaving after an early breakfast, the safari entourage arrives at the lodge for lunch and relaxation before venturing into the park for a late afternoon game drive.

Our safari moves to Naivasha, a prime Kenya tourism destination. Naivasha is rich in variety, adventure and relax activities. Hells Gate National Park provides a highly scenic carnivore-free park, a place where great movies have been shot. Good for a walking safari, cycling, rock climbing and raw camping. Home to Africa's largest natural spa (Mvuke Spa)and Ol Karia Africa's largest geothermal plant generating 27% of Kenya's power supply and one of the world's largest currently producing 791Mw.

Lake Naivasha,is designated as a Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention. This recognition highlights its crucial role in supporting a diverse range of species and ecosystems. Additionally, Lake Naivasha qualifies as a Key Biodiversity Area (KBA), meeting international criteria for its ecological importance.The lake’s rich biodiversity includes over 400 bird species, hippos, and various other wildlife, making it a vital habitat for conservation efforts. 

In addition we Crescent and Crater Lake Islands to explore, Lake Oloiden (another home for flamingos). Naivasha has been acclaimed as Kenya's major out-of-city getaway by locals. Elsamere Conservation Center is there to tell the story of Friederike Victoria "Joy" Adamson was a naturalist, artist, conservationist and author. Her book, Born Free, describes her experiences raising a lion cub named Elsa. Born Free was printed in several languages and made into an Academy Award-winning movie of the same name.
