DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival / Nairobi

Meet upon arrival in Nairobi, a short drive will take us to Hilton Garden Inn Hotel situated approximately 7 kilometers from the airport. Depending on our arrival time, we can take afternoon for an orientation tour, to visit Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Center and Karuri Beads Center. Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Breakfast, followed by departure to Samburu Game Reserve.  Our safari guide will take you through the agricultural lands of central Kenya, cross the Equator zero-degree latitude before to proceeding to our camp Samburu Ashnil Tented Camp arriving in good time for lunch.

Late afternoon game viewing drive in our private jeep with guaranteed window seats. Samburu is great country to see. The special five – the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa Oryx and the long-necked

Gerenuk, as well as the big cats.

Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve

Enjoy a full day in Samburu Game Reserve, with morning and late afternoon game drives in our private jeep with

guaranteed window seats. Samburu Game Reserve has varying vegetation; primarily dry scrub, however the Uaso Nyiro River, which flows through the reserve, nourishes the riverine forested area along the river banks that make great hiding places for lion, while the fallen palm trees are ideal perches for the elusive leopard. This reserve is also home to large herds of elephant, buffalo, zebra, eland and impala. The doum palms and acacia trees are beautiful against the stark arid background.

In the evening return to Elephant Bedroom Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

SAMBURU ASHNIL TENTED CAMP

Day 4: Ol Pejeta Game Reserve

After breakfast depart for Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy situated at the footsteps of snow-capped Mount Kenya. Afternoon game viewing in Ol Pejeta Game Conservancy is the home of fastest growing population of both the southern white rhino and the endangered black rhino in Kenya. In a special sanctuary you will also have a chance to see the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos.

This afternoon you will also visit Chimpanzee sanctuary established by the renowned Jane Goodall as a refuge for orphaned and confiscated chimpanzees this is the only place in Kenya where non-indigenous chimpanzees can be seen.

 Day 5: Lake Naivasha

After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha a fresh water oasis situated at the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge.

Spend rest of the afternoon at leisure enjoying the facilities of your lodge and enjoy the well-manicured lawns of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is also home to resident giraffes, waterbucks and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. Hippos leave the lake every night to come and trim the grass on the expansive lawns.

Day 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve proceeding through the picturesque floor of the Great Rift Valley to arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sentrim Tented Camp.

Afternoon embark on a game drive in Masai Mara Game Reserve home of “the big five”; lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.

Day 7 & 8: Masai Mara Game Reserve

You are at liberty this day to discuss with your driver guide whether to take picnic lunches and spend the full day in the game reserve or return to your lodge for a hot lunch.

During this period Masai Mara Game Reserve attracts millions of wildebeests and zebras that cross the crocodile infested Mara River while closely followed by pride of lions making the kill be the highlight of your visit. For bird lovers, Masai Mara Game Reserve is also home of over 450 species of birdlife including birds of prey and scavengers, while cool morning hours bring out the cheetah and leopard, in search of prey. The setting sun provides spectacular photography opportunities of the rolling savannah plains
