Kenya Family Adventure Safari

Trip Adventure Details

Overview

A family safari must be well curated, designed to be special and tweaked to ensure optimal satisfaction for the whole family. The controlling pointers are usually the ages of the children, room sharing options and interests. There are lodges and camps that are child-friendly and to which we appoint our guests too - in the bush or at the beach.

We understand that most children are generally fascinated by the African wild, the overwhelming abundance of animals only seen at the zoo and on film, and this makes Africa a choice destination for them and especially where circumstances allow them to be in unrestricted environments.

However, dragging them kids to every game drive, early morning, afternoon and where applicable night game drives may be cut off their joy. Leave them at the Kids Adventure Club for their fun games, go for the water sports together, camel and horse riding, boat riding, and other adventure activities that make them unforgetably ecstastic

We plan our itinerary intuitively to avoid extended long drives and mostly prefer two nights stay in a location and in some places 3 nights, and 4 nights in coastal resorts.

One of the genuine benets of traveling with children is the exposure they have to different cultures and ways of life. African people are natural lovers of children, and in addition them bonding with and learning from your guide, it is not uncommon to find camp staff entertaining your kids with local games, cooking, or enquiring conversation. In certain establishments, children are 'maasai-mentored' to become young warriors who can light fire without matches, throw clubs, spears and shoot arrows, track animals and survival in the wilderness. Where a safari family prefers an eco-taste, further cultural opportunities to visit local schools or villages can easily be included in most safari itineraries. Where this may not be possible, most of our family safaris will include a visit to a Maasai Cultural Village.
